You are loved
You are valuable
Is this a truth that it takes a lot to believe? Can you find within yourself to believe that you matter in this world?
If you answered yes to this question, don't feel shy. You, along with so many women out in this world, find it hard to believe that we matter. There are many reasons for that; one of them being something happened in our lives that caused us to believe that we no longer matter.
Proverbs 16:4 The Lord has made everything for his own purpose
You have your own purpose.
Ephesians 1:4 NIV 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love.
He chose you before creation.
Ephesians 1:11-12 NLV 11 We were already chosen to be God’s own children by Christ. This was done just like the plan He had. 12 We who were the first to put our trust in Christ should thank Him for His greatness.
We were already chosen to be God’s children. This was his plan from the beginning. Not after you were born, but before you were born. Before you were in your mother’s womb, he already had plans for your life.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV) 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
We are children of God; that's how he planned it. We are chosen and set up apart with a plan and purpose in life.
One of the reasons I started She Became was because I knew I had to invest in the lives of young women. Growing up, I struggled with knowing my worth and value. I made many bad choices due to that lie. Sadly, I know that many young girls out there are also making the same mistakes as I did. For that very reason, for not knowing that I was far more worth than I ever believed.
Sure, I thought I mattered; however, was I truly living my life as my life did matter? No. I was not. I did not know my full value; therefore, my walls were down, and my heart was not guarded.
Today is holding onto this truth.
Matthew 6:21 (NIV) 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Your treasure is your heart.
Do you guard and protect your heart as it is your treasure?
You who are reading this, your life has so much worth! You have so much value. You matter, and you carry a purpose that you can fulfill.
I leave you with this challenge.
Take a moment to reflect on your life.
Are you living as you matter?
Are you protecting your heart as it is your treasure?
Are you thinking about yourself and taking time for you?
Are there areas in your life where you have to make a shift and believe that you matter?
